Insurance, Co-Payments,
and Deductibles

As you may know, the nature of the insurance industry has changed dramatically over the past few years.  Many policies now require higher co-payments, but not everyone is aware that deductibles have risen as well.  Please understand that if our physicians provide a service and you have not yet met your deductible for the year, you will be billed for the cost of the service that your insurance company would have paid had your deductible already been met.  We are required by law to bill you for any balances as directed by your insurance company.

It is a good idea to check in with your insurance company periodically to inquire about any changes to your policy.  Changes can even occur in the middle of a policy year.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your bill or the explanation of benefits that you receive from your insurance company.

If you are coming in for an appointment, we kindly ask that you pay any balances outstanding before seeing your physician.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.
